Phase 1: user-oriented design of the OmaHäme service
The customer relationship began in 2022, when Digia began collaborating with Istekki Oy in the development of a digital service that combines the social and health services offered by the Kanta-Häme wellbeing services country.
Experts from Avalon, operating as part of Digia, were involved in the development and utilised service design in conceptualising the user-oriented service. The service consists of a website and a mobile application, for which Avalon handled the UX design. Experts from other Digia units were responsible for the technical development.
The goal is a customer-oriented service with the best possible usability. To ensure this, end users and healthcare professionals were closely involved in the development of the service.
It was also important to ensure that the service will scale to future needs. The development follows a roadmap based on which new features and components are added in an agile manner.
Phase 2: Launch of the mobile application
When the e-service development was completed, the customer needed help to launch the mobile application. Help was close by, as Avalon has 30 years of experience in customer-centric marketing and communications.
Avalon's marketing experts prepared a launch plan and a unified and coherent campaign concept. We produced the necessary advertising materials and took care of the distribution.
The campaign included outdoor advertising and digital banners in local online publications, as well as Google and TikTok. In addition, we designed visual materials for META ads and digital screens in hospitals as well as produced content for the campaign website.
The advertising brought enormous visibility and made the e-service known to the target groups while also significantly increasing the number of app downloads.
Phase 3: Partnership in digital marketing and content production, as well as a CRM renewal
After the successful app launch, Kanta-Häme wellbeing services country wanted to expand the collaboration with Avalon. The partnership continues with planning and material production, as well as Google advertising.
Kanta-Häme wellbeing services country has also kicked off a CRM system renewal for which Avalon's service designers and UI designers will ensure a user-oriented implementation.
