Digia is a partner to both Eckerö Line and Helsinki Regional Transport Authority in the development of digital customer experiences and has been involved in building digital services for both customers.
To support customer stories Digia wanted to visualise how seamless digital services enable a unified travel experience that transports passengers all the way from the sofa to the deck of a ship and on to planning their next journey.
Avalon transformed the story into a narrative video that highlights the smoothness and seamlessness of the travel experience.
A relatable story
In the storyline we wanted to highlight the joy and ease of travel, so we chose a customer group that particularly appreciates ease and smoothness: a family with children. To emphasize the smoothness of the digital experience, the daughter was given the role of the tour guide.
We also wanted to highlight the role of mobile solutions at the core of the travel experience, so using a mobile phone played an integral part in the narrative.
Reassurance with customer comments and numbers
We wanted to include the business benefits of CX development into the video and thus inserted interview clips, in which representatives from Eckerö Lines and Helsinki Regional Transport Authority share their views on the benefits of the interlinked development projects.
The easy travel narrative is also accompanied by data highlights, which illustrate the benefits of the digital customer path in figures.
A striking visual entity, assembled agilely
The video footage was shot efficiently in two days. This was possible due to thorough advance planning and by having a small, agile crew.
